The report was received from Dr. Tadayoshi Hashimoto (National Cancer Center Hospital East), who traveled to Chicago using the support of travel grant provided to presenters at the ASCO meeting, which JSCO started this year:
Dr. Hashimoto gave two presentations this time, an oral presentation and a poster presentation, and it was a fulfilling conference, for which he would like to express his sincere gratitude to the patients, their families, doctors from all over the country, and the TR Support Office at the NCC Hospital East. The theme of this presentation focused on molecular residual disease (MRD) using ctDNA, which has been attracting attention in recent years, and he said that the oral presentation at ASCO was the big stage he had dreamed of, and that he was overwhelmed by the size of the venue and the multiple giant screens, but that he was able to finish successfully thanks to the support of many people. During the poster presentation, he was able to have a fulfilling discussion with renowned researchers from around the world, and he also said that he once again realized the value of meeting and interacting with people in person at ASCO, rather than through a screen, and felt the joy of being able to compete with each other. He said that he will use this valuable experience as a springboard to strive for even greater heights and will work hard every day to be able to report back to everyone on his next stage.
